Terms of Service

These terms govern access to Booka. By using the marketplace or creating an account, you agree to use it lawfully and responsibly.

Booka is a discovery marketplace

Booka helps visitors discover independent beauty professionals. Unless Booka explicitly states otherwise, Booka is not the employer, agent, salon, or service provider for professionals displayed on the marketplace. A service arrangement is made directly between the client and professional.

Professionals are responsible for their qualifications, licences where applicable, service descriptions, pricing, availability, hygiene, conduct, taxes, and delivery of services. Clients are responsible for evaluating a professional and confirming appointment details before payment or travel.

Accounts and accurate information

Account holders must provide accurate information, protect their credentials, and notify Booka of unauthorized access. A professional may not impersonate another person, create misleading duplicate profiles, upload work they do not have permission to use, or misrepresent qualifications, prices, locations, ratings, or availability.

Booka may review, correct, restrict, decline, deactivate, or remove accounts and content to protect users, comply with law, or enforce these terms. Approval means a profile passed the review available at that time; it is not a guarantee of future conduct or service quality.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use Booka for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or discriminatory activity.
  • Do not upload sexually explicit, violent, stolen, harmful, or privacy-invasive content.
  • Do not attack, scrape excessively, disrupt, reverse engineer, or bypass marketplace security.
  • Do not manipulate ratings, interactions, advertisements, or account-review processes.
  • Do not send spam or use professional contact details for unrelated marketing.

Content and intellectual property

Professionals keep ownership of content they lawfully submit and grant Booka permission to host, resize, display, and distribute that content for operating and promoting their Booka profile. The professional confirms that they have the required rights and client permissions.

Booka branding, software, layout, and original editorial content may not be copied or commercially reused without permission. Reports of copyright or privacy concerns should identify the content, profile, reason for the report, and reliable contact information.

Service availability and responsibility

Booka may change, suspend, or discontinue features and cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by law, Booka is not responsible for an independent professional’s service outcome, missed appointment, price disagreement, off-platform payment, or conduct.

Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot legally be excluded. Questions or disputes should first be sent to contact@bookaet.com so Booka can review the matter.
